Welcome to The Great Council The Great Council (TGC) is a friendly, but hardcore, raiding guild, residing on the everlovely realm of Haomarush, horde side of course. The members that decided to live under the cozy home of the council carry the traits of friendship, honesty, devotion, passion, loyalty, faith, trust, all of then in the name of fun. At the same time, open, friendly and ready to welcome the new members, hear their ideas, teach them and make them feel like home. With being accepted you have prooven your worth to take your place in The Great Council. However once in, you have to act properly and not disgrace yourself, your guildmates or the guild itself. Follow these simple rules and all will be fine. HOW TO BEHAVE Be polite to everyone, even strangers. This does not mean you have no right to retaliate to a verbal or physical harassment. If you're assaulted in any way, let them know that we're not made of cardboard. But never be the provocative side of the argument. Be helpful and when you are too busy, let the other person know instead of just telling them to " F**K OFF ". If numerous complaints are issued against a member, the member might be demoted if the allegations have any foundation. If the the issue continues it is possible that the person will be kicked from guild. Be honest when in an instance or just trading. Do not ninja or steal or scam. Also when asked for a reason of you for example being late or now showing up for raid, be honest, don't try to make something up that is far from truth, same goes for having to leave raid. All members should consider that there may be boss fights which will take lots and lots of tries. In this case you have to save your patience, DCing and not returning will be considered leaving raid and is punishable. If you are caught ninjaing or stealing items you will automaticly be kicked from the guild and also other guilds in the server will be notified of your dishonest conduct. If you are caught lying about something, you WILL BE demoted and the fact if you can stay in our guild will be discussed amongst the officers. Be happy everywhere. Happyness is the key to life, ofcourse there are moments to be sad, but those should not dominate. If you're happy and cheerful then it will most likely cheer up those who are not so happy. Although ordering someone to be happy is just silly, it is recommended. Being happy does not mean jumping around the room or grinning like an idiot. Being happy does not mean you are unable to participate in raids properly because you're acting like an idiot. If you have any complaints or anything bothers you, then doing something behind the officers's/guild master's backs without talking about it first will be considered childish, noobish and very likely will cause a demote or guildkick. CHAIN OF COMMAND Guild Master - Devildriverr is the Guild Master of TGC. Treat him with respect and you'll be treated with respect. High Officer - Thunderclaw and Cathrina are the right hands of the GM. They're raid leaders and second of command in the guild. Officer - Nenus and Pirijo are currently the officers of TGC. They got less say than the High Officers. They can access all tabs in the guild bank, and you can ask them for anything guild related. They will also help raid lead when needed. Officer Alt - Alts of officers and guild bank character Veteran Member - These members have proven their worth to the guild by being loyal and well playing for a long time. Member - This is the key unit of the guild. Members are regular players. All they have to do is attend raids and do what they're told. All members still got a say in most things in the guild. Their voice will be heard, and their opinions thought about. Participating actively in guild life shows that you have potential to some day be promoted to an officer. Trial - Newly recruited members who are still on probation. Their status in guild is uncertain as they may be kicked due to low attendance or poor performance. If you're a trial, it would be wisest to do your best during this period. this does not mean you are allowed to start slacking once gain member status. Alt - Alts, as the name says are alts of both members and trials, when in raid, alts have less rights then trials but trial alts have less rights then for example officer or member alts. All members are allowed to ask for their alts to be recruited to guild and the number of alts is limitless considering nobody will start making level 1 alts just for that. Alts will not be raiding in main raids unless asked to by an officer.(Freind rank cannot have an alt in the guild or Freind of a freind cannot join the guild) Friend - Friends of anyone in the guild. If you have a friend in the guild, you are eligible for being invited as a friend rank. Friends do not have any priority in raids. The only way they can raid is if there aren't enough people to fill the raid. Mute - Person who has been acting like an arse and needs to cool down. Mutes are the lowest of all ranks. This rank is not permanent meaning that if behaviour gets worse these persons might be kicked. Or if behaviour improves these people might be promoted to their original rank. Officer Priviledges and Rules: An Officer of The Great Council will never use its power based on purely feelings, meaning kick someone, demote someone, or promote someone based on how they feel about this person. All decisions of kicking someone from the guild will be talked over with Guild Master. Class Leaders and High Officers are the only people allowed to promote Trials to Members, Friends to Trials. Regular Officers have that right only if directly ordered by a Classleader or High Officer (or Guild Master ofcourse). Demoting someone or promoting someone in case of an emergency is allowed, but will later needs to be explained. An Officer of The Great Council has higher priority to be taken to progression raids. This is overruled if the raid simply does not have a spot for that class aka all spots for that class/role is already filled by other officers No person is allowed to ignore or mute another person on ventrilo. Only officers have that right, but in that case only with a good reason. GOING AWAY/INACTIVITY The following are excuses for not signing up or signing unavailable for more then 3 times in a row: - Going on a holiday - Having some sort of festivity - Having trouble with internet/computer/gamecard - Event due to which you will not be home for a longer period If you are going away or cannot attend raids, then you MUST make a threat in the forum named "Away threat" saying when you will be gone and when you will be back, and naturally explaining the reason. TRIAL PERIOD When you join the guild, you get trial rank. The trial period will last until you pass minimum EP, which is 4500. If you do not know the loot system named EPGP, then it's about 2-3 weeks, depending on your activity. LOOT SYSTEM We use the EPGP loot system. In order to see your priority, you need the addon named EPGP. When the raid starts, recurring EP will start, automatically granting 50 EP every 15 minutes to everybody in the raid. On first kills or extraordinary performance, bonus EP will be granted. LEAVING GUILD We do not tolerate guild hopping. We've had several cases where people have left the guild and later want to come back. So a few baselines: - If you leave the guild and find out it was a stupid mistake within a week, then if you left without a big fuzz, you will be allowed back in the guild, stripped of rank and EP with a GP punishment. - If you leave and are gone more than a week, you will not be invited back to the guild. - If you are gone more than a week but left for a good and understandable reason and you are an exceptional player and person, exceptions can be made. - If you piss off an officer or if you generally don't behave, you naturally might be kicked from the guild. - If you are kicked from the guild, don't count on ever getting in again. - If you apply to another guild, or even worse make a secret application, you will be instantly kicked from the guild, no questions asked. RAIDING As we are a raiding guild, we need reliable raiders. As a raider, the following is required: - Accept at least 3 raids a week (if you sign and don't show up, it doesn't count). - Have all the needed addons. - Be on Ventrilo from raid start to raid end. - Know the boss fights. If you don't know them, read the tactics. This goes for everybody. - Be your main spec. If you are pvp specced, you will instantly be kicked from the raid and get a GP punishment. - All gems MUST be at least rare. Meta gem must be the best for your class and spec. Enchants must be right. You don't have to have berserker on your weapon as melee, but if you got a "best in slot" or close to it, the guild bank will pay for it. No pvp enchants or gems will be tolerated. - You must have at least 4 flasks with you every raid. On progress raids, you will need to have a flask up all the time, and when asked to in non-progress raids, you will drink a flask. ADDONS Mandetory addons for raiders: - Deadly Boss Mods - Ora2 Useful addons: - Recount - PallyPower - Omen - Big Brother - GRID RECOUNT It's not allowed to link from Recount in neither guild nor raid chat unless asked to by an officer. This game is not all about doing the most damage, but the job of a dps'er is in most cases simply to do the most damage without dying. Therefore Recount is a very useful addon. Use it as a guide to optimize your rotation and do your best to pump out the most damage or do the best healing. STANDBY If there is no room in the main raid for you, but you have shown up, you can be on standby, meaning you have been invited to the raid on your main character. This will grant you the same EP as the rest of the raid. If you are on standby, you will need to do the following: - Be outside the instance with your main character and be ready to jump in when needed. - Be on ventrilo, either in the raid channel or in the standby channel. - Have at least 4 flasks on you, just like a raider in the main raid. You can log out on your main character and go do something else like level an alt or watch TV. The only thing that is required is that we can contact you, so you need to be able to hear ventrilo if that is the only place we can find you. If you are called into the main raid while being on standby, and you are not available, you will lose all gained EP that day and get an EP punishment aswell. Also note that you are allowed to join the raid on your alt if you want to play your main character while you're on standby, but then you cannot be in the raid with your main character. Only one character per player is allowed in the raid. GUILD BANK Tabs: - Crafting mats (stuff you need to make items and flasks) - Ask officers (enchanting mats and such - ask an officer if you need anything) - Glyphs - Consumables (feasts, food, flasks, anything) - Gems Enchants (gems and premade enchants - ask an officer if you need anything from here) - Feasts (feasts and mats for feasts) The guild bank will give out gems and enchanting mats for free to MEMBERS AND ABOVE. Don't even bother asking if you're trial. The gems and enchants are ONLY for main spec items that are item level 213+. The guild bank will also pay EP for itmes that are needed by the guild bank. COUNCILBANK This is the character that monitors the guild bank. It is an alt of Ununoctium. This character is also responsible for the guild lottery. If you want EP for something that the guild bank needs, you will have to send it to the Councilbank character in order to get your reward. GUILD BANK PRICES The guild bank will not pay EP if there are too much in the bank of a certain gem/material. From the Guild Bank: Runed Orb: 10 GP (only for making items for main spec) Any Flask: 4 GP Epic BoE items (main spec): The GP value of the item. As the guild bank pays for everything you need to optimize your gear, it is only fair that people give something to the guild bank aswell. The lottery is actually quite simple. If you win, you get everything in the pot. If there are 2 winners, they share the pot. If there are no winner, then half of the pot will go to the guild bank, and the other half will go on to the next week's lottery pot. You buy a lottery ticket by sending a mail to the Councilbank character with the title "Lottery Ticket". In the mail you simply write two numbers, for instance "4-8". Those two numbers indicate which numbers you pick for the lottery. The numbers go from 1 to 10. In the mail you will have to add 20 gold, cause the price of a lottery ticket is 20 gold. Every sunday Ununoctium will log in on the Councilbank char and do "/roll 10" two times. The numbers that will be shown will be the winning numbers. If the roll says "4-6" and your numbers were 4-8, then you don't win anything. Only if both numbers are the same. If the roll is "8-4", you still don't win. Only if it's 4-8. The initial pot is 50g when noone has payed to the guild bank, so there's something to play for even at the beginning. If you wish to buy more than one ticket, you simply write two numbers in the first line and two new numbers in the next line and send 40g to the Councilbank character. If you send the mail sunday after the lottery has taken place, your ticket will naturally go to next week's lottery. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remember that all of these can and quite likely will be modified at some point. If you have your own suggestion, please talk to an Officer or Guild Master about it. Not knowing any of these rules is not an excuse. If you commit the crime, you do the time. | ||
